FAQ

Frequently asked questions

What is included in the rent?

Our rent is all-inclusive and fixed: gas, water, electricity, taxes, internet, use of the washing machine and dryer, and weekly cleaning of the shared areas. There are no variable utility bills. The only optional extra is our bedding set at €10 a month, see the next question.

Do I need to bring bedding and towels?

That depends on the residence. At Miera Residence and Stabu Residence a blanket and pillow come with your room, and our bedding set (€10 a month) adds one set of bed linen and two towels. At Theatre Residence No 1, Theatre Residence No 2 and Tower Hill Residence the rooms come without bedding, so you either add the bedding set, which covers a blanket, a pillow, one set of bed linen and two towels, or bring your own from home. Either way you can arrive with just your suitcase. Ask us in the chat if you are unsure what applies to your room.

How much does a room cost?

Prices depend on the residence and room type, and typically start from around €320 per month per person for a twin room. Each room on the site shows its own price. Not sure which room fits your budget? Just ask Liv in the chat.

How do I book a room?

The easiest way is through our chat: message Liv any time to ask questions, confirm your dates and get started, we handle the whole booking there. You can also check availability for your semester, apply online and sign your agreement digitally. Liv, our chat assistant, understands and replies in six languages: English, German, French, Spanish, Italian and Latvian.

How does check-in work?

Check-in is self-service with a door code, so there is no key handover and no fixed arrival time. Semester students receive their entry codes ahead of move-in, often a couple of weeks before; short-stay guests receive them on the day of arrival. If anything comes up, just message us in the chat.

Who lives in the residences?

International students, exchange (Erasmus) students and interns from all over the world. Our coliving apartments are shared, social and community-focused, and we always aim for a good mix of nationalities and genders in each apartment.

Where are the residences located?

In central Riga and, for Tower Hill, in Torņakalns across the river near the universities. Everything is close and walkable, with public transport nearby.

Can I stay short-term?

Yes. Park Residence and short-term rooms are available for shorter stays, from a single night to several months. Message us in the chat and we will find you a spot for your dates.

How long can I stay?

Student rooms are rented by semester, from four months. Two of our residences, Miera and Stabu, have a four-month minimum, and three, Theatre Residence No 1, Theatre Residence No 2 and Tower Hill, a five-month minimum. For shorter visits, book a short stay by dates via Park Residence and Airbnb.

Is there a deposit?

Yes. The security deposit varies by residence and is set out in your rental agreement. It is returned after move-out, minus any deductions. Ask us in the chat and we will confirm the exact amount for your room before you sign.

Can I see availability for the next semester?

Yes. Our availability check shows live availability for the upcoming semesters, updated directly from our system. For anything it does not answer, just ask in the chat.
